With immediate effect the TENEO treatment centre can be equipped with the high-precision digital ApexLocator. Incorporating latest-generation measuring technology, the ApexLocator detects apical constrictions with a high degree of reliability and precision. The measurements are not influenced by fluids in the tooth.

		When the file is inserted a stylized image root canal is displayed.
		When the colour of the bar changes to blue, the file is located in the last third of the root canal.
		The green area clearly indicates that you have reached the apical constriction.
		The system generates a clear visual and acoustic warning if you go beyond the apical constriction, thus eliminating the risk of over-instrumentation.

In combination with the Endodontics function auto stop and auto reverse are activated as soon as the predetermined torque setting and/or the apex is reached. This ensures the highest levels of reliability and safety during the preparation process. The built-in library contains the recommended torque and speed settings for each individual file. This minimizes the setup times.

Reliable and precise measurements.

• The ApexLocator operates on the principle of differential multifrequency impedance measurement.
• During conventional apex measurement only one complex value (impedance) can be detected at any one time. This reading delivers information about the distance between the file and the apical constriction, but can be falsified by the characteristics of the root canal (different widths) and/or fluids in the tooth (blood, EDTA, sodium hypochlorite, etc.). These variables can be minimised by means of differentiation at various frequencies. This results in safe and reliable detection.
• In the case of mechanical root canal preparation the measuring signal is conveniently routed through the Sirona ENDO 6:1 contra-angle handpiece.

• Stand-alone option with Endodontics function (for mechanical preparation accompanied by continuous apex measurement, the Sirona ENDO 6:1 contra-angle handpiece is required)
   
   
• As part of the Clinical package (comprising the Endodontics function, ApexLocator, Sirona ENDO 6:1 contra-angle handpiece, Implantology function, BL Implant motor and a built-in saline solution pump). This package saves money compared with the individual configuration.
