Sirona will honor CAD/CAM studies and research submitted by university clinicians and dental practitioners. The awards will be presented in late August at the CEREC 25 anniversary event in Las Vegas. The submission deadline is July 15, 2010.
Bensheim/Germany, June 22, 2010. Scientists and dentists who work with CEREC or CAD/CAM technology are invited to present their research and clinical experiences at the CEREC 25th Anniversary Celebration Symposium in Las Vegas, U.S.A. Sirona is hosting a poster exhibition that will open on the 2nd day of the event. From August 27 to 28, 2010, the selected posters will be exhibited to all conference participants in the foyer and areas around the presentation rooms. With this exhibition, the technological leader in the dental industry is adding to its extensive conference program that already includes more than 50 scientific presentations and workshops on CEREC. "Within a quarter of a century, a highly committed, international community of users, scientists, and researchers has formed around CEREC. We have seen tremendous new developments in CAD/CAM technology, major technological progress regarding materials, hardware, and software with an enormouspotential. With this poster exhibition, we hope to represent these developments", explains Bart Doedens, Vice President of Dental CAD/CAM Systems at Sirona.
Those interested in participating in the poster competition are invited to submit their abstracts, not exceeding one DIN-A 4 page in length, by July 15, 2010 in one of two categories: "scientific" posters from universities or schools of dentistry or "practice-oriented" posters from dentists in private practices, dental technicians or dental assistants. Entry conditions are found at www.cerec25.com. A scientific commission composed of professors Werner Mörmann (chair) and Albert Mehl, both of Zurich University, and Dennis Fasbinder of the University of Michigan will evaluate the contents of each abstract and acceptance of the poster presentations. The best posters will receive an award during the symposium.
